FAQ
Frequently asked questions about sugaring
How do I convince a client to choose sugaring?
Lemon juice slows regrowth, and the technique avoids broken hairs. The result: smooth, clear skin that lasts longer.
Is sugaring suitable for all skin and hair types?
Yes. Sugar paste works on both fine and coarse hair. It is ideal for sensitive skin thanks to its gentle, natural action.
Why is sugaring more expensive than waxing?
The Halawa method requires specialized training, which ensures a professional result that respects the skin.
Is the service profitable if it takes longer?
Yes. Sugaring services are typically priced 25 to 50% higher than waxing, which increases profitability for professionals.
How long does sugar paste last?
Sugar paste keeps well. There is no expiration date. Thanks to its composition (sugar and lemon) and cooking process, it is bacteriostatic, so there is no waste or loss of quality over time.
What if the paste freezes during transport?
Let it thaw for 24 hours at room temperature. Its texture and effectiveness remain intact, with no risk for the client.
What if the paste texture changes?
This can happen when your workspace is hot and humid. Place the jar in the microwave until liquid (carefully, it is very hot), stir with a spatula until smooth, then let it rest at least two hours to regain the right texture.
Why offer different paste textures?
The right texture depends on the area, hair type, humidity, season and even the professional's hand temperature. Adapting the texture ensures comfort and effectiveness.
What if paste gets stuck on the client's skin?
Stay calm. Remove the excess, then take a small amount of Hard paste. Apply it in one pass over the stuck area, then flip it. Repeat until it detaches, then continue the treatment. Even experienced professionals encounter this from time to time.
How do I clean paste spills on clothes, furniture or the floor?
Use a cloth and warm water. Unlike wax, no harsh chemicals are needed.
